Little Sister has had a rough couple of days. She spiked a fever Tuesday night and has not felt well at all. She says, "My mouth hurts. My eyes hurt. My head hurts. My ears hurt." Poor poor baby.
Yesterday we loaded her up with ibuprofen, and when she rallied, we went out to dinner at this fine establishment.....
This 100 item, VERY CROWDED buffet was my worst nightmare. But since crab legs are a religion to my parents, and they were included, we had to go. We did manage to have a little fun.......
And even though she was sick, Little Sister got to personally thank the Gorton's Fisherman for the fish sticks she adores..........
The ride home from dinner was yucky, pukey, and long. And we had a rough night. And even though we couldn't find much to make her happy for much of the day, we were able to control her fever all day today with regular doses of ibuprofen, so we did get to do a few things.
Like go to the pier.
Where we watched some fisherman bring in a stingray.......
Which was apparently a Mama stingray, who must have been in the process of giving birth to two little baby stingrays....(you can see it in the picture above)
Big sister got to scoop one up and then toss is back to sea. (She knew Alex would LOVE IT!!!)
And after the pier she got to head out to the beach for just a bit. After all, is there anything that makes you feel as good as the beach?
Well, maybe this. :-)
Andrea- thanks for the advice. I remember doing that once with Caroline but I dont think Ive ever had to do it with Brink until last week. She was throwing up but very feverish, so I started with a Tylenol suppository. :-)

Oh, that poor sting ray. Could you imagine being in labour and being netted out of your bed? Horrid. I'm sure you already know this, but if the sickies are still about you can up your wellness quotient with alternate dosings of ibuprofen and tylenol, every 2 hours instead of 4. (i.e. tylenol at 12:00; advil at 2:00; tylenol at 4:00, etc). Dr. friend recommended it, so yes, it's safe.
